Navigation is the specification that decides the product
Suction figures dominate robot vacuum marketing, but navigation is what determines whether an end user keeps the machine or returns it. A robot with modest suction that cleans a whole floor methodically outperforms a powerful one that bounces around a room and misses half of it.
Random navigation
The entry tier. The robot moves in a semi-random pattern and covers a room by persistence rather than by planning. It is cheap, mechanically simple and genuinely adequate for small apartments and single rooms, which is why it still sells in volume. Our random-navigation builds sit in the 1,000Pa to roughly 1,499Pa band with runtimes around 60 minutes and dustbins around 285ml.
Gyroscopic navigation
The mid tier, and the value sweet spot for most buyers. A gyroscope lets the robot travel in structured rows rather than randomly, so coverage improves substantially without the cost of a laser module. Our gyro platform runs at 200W with 8,000Pa suction and combined wet-and-dry operation — a specification that reviews well against far more expensive machines because the cleaning pattern is deliberate.
Laser navigation with app control
The premium tier. A laser module maps the space, plans a route, and reports back to a phone app so the user can see the map, set no-go zones and schedule cleans. Our laser builds reach 20,000Pa and pair with auto-charging and, on the top models, an auto dust-collection base with a 4L bin so the user empties the machine every few weeks rather than after every clean.
Choosing tiers for a range
Most buyers do best carrying two or three points rather than one. A random-navigation model to hit an entry price, a gyro model as the volume seller, and a laser model with app control as the halo product covers the majority of a market without over-committing inventory to the top of the range.
Suction, batteries, mopping and dust handling
Beyond navigation, four specifications drive the end-user experience and the review score.
Suction
Our range spans roughly 1,000Pa at the entry point to 20,000Pa at the top. Higher is not automatically better for every buyer: strong suction shortens runtime and adds noise, and beyond a point the brush design and floor-head contribute more to real-world pickup than the pascal figure. On hard floors and low-pile carpet, a well-designed 8,000Pa unit performs closer to a 20,000Pa one than the numbers suggest.
Batteries and runtime
Battery capacities across the range run from around 1,500mAh and 2,600mAh up to 3,000mAh, giving runtimes in the region of 60 minutes on lower-power settings. Runtime and suction trade against each other, and the honest way to specify a model is to decide the floor area it is expected to cover in one charge and work backwards.
Sweep, vacuum and mop
The range includes 2-in-1 sweeping-and-vacuuming builds and 3-in-1 sweep-vacuum-mop machines with a water tank and mop plate. Wet-and-dry operation is now the mainstream expectation in most markets rather than a premium feature, and the 3-in-1 configuration is usually the easier product to sell.
Dust handling
Standard models use an onboard dustbin the user empties. Top models dock into an auto dust-collection base with a 4L bag, which is the single feature end users most often describe as the reason they upgraded. It is also the feature that most reliably supports a higher retail price.
Practical extras
Across the range we build in anti-drop sensors for stairs and level changes, remote control on non-app models, pet-hair brush configurations, and square-format chassis on models designed to reach into corners rather than only sweep open floor.
Inside our manufacturing and quality control
Robots are assembled and tested in-house in Guilin, alongside the rest of our floorcare and small-appliance production.
Tooling
Chassis and housing components run on moulds we own, which is what makes genuine private-label differentiation possible rather than a badge on a shared shell. The tooling stays available for repeat orders.
What gets tested
Testing is weighted towards the things that generate returns: navigation behaviour across a real floor plan rather than an empty test square, docking and auto-charging reliability, battery charge and discharge cycling, suction at the floor-head rather than at the motor, water-tank sealing on mopping models, and anti-drop sensor response at a step edge. Finished goods are sampled again before packing.
Firmware and app
On app-controlled models the pairing flow, map handling and scheduling are checked as part of test, because a robot that cleans well but will not connect generates the same one-star review as one that does not clean at all.
OEM, ODM and private-label robot vacuums
Most of our robot volume ships under a customer’s brand.
What can change
Chassis colour and finish, branding on the unit, base and packaging, the navigation tier, suction and battery specification, 2-in-1 or 3-in-1 configuration, remote or app control, dock type including auto dust collection, plug and cord set for your market, and the full manual, quick-start and carton artwork set. App branding can be discussed as part of an ODM programme.
ODM as the sensible starting point
Robot vacuums carry more tooling and firmware cost than most small appliances, so starting from a proven platform and changing the specification, finish and packaging is usually the right first move. It gets a differentiated range to market without funding a chassis mould and a navigation stack from zero.
Getting a realistic quote
Tell us the navigation tier, the suction and runtime you want to advertise, 2-in-1 or 3-in-1, whether you need an auto-empty dock, your destination market and your quantity. We will quote against a real bill of materials and tell you where a cheaper component would show up as a return.
How to vet a robot vacuum supplier in China
This is one of the easiest categories in which to be sold a rebadged unit, because the software hides the hardware. A few questions help.
Ask what the navigation actually is
“Smart navigation” means nothing. Ask whether it is random, gyroscopic or laser, and ask what the coverage pattern looks like on a floor plan with furniture in it.
Ask where the suction figure is measured
A pascal figure measured at the motor and one measured at the floor-head are different numbers describing the same machine. Ask which you are being quoted.
Ask about the app and who owns it
If the app is a generic white-label shell shared across dozens of brands, that has consequences for your support burden and your data story. Establish it before you order, not after your first support ticket.
Ask about battery cycle testing
Battery degradation is what turns a good review at month one into a bad one at month ten. Ask what cycle testing has been done rather than only what the capacity is.
Match certification to your market
Robot vacuums carry a battery, a radio and a motor, so the certificate set is larger than for a simple appliance. Not every model holds every mark; we match the set to the models and destination market you are importing into.
Certifications and compliance
Compliance is where a cheap order stalls at customs. Across our range we manufacture robot vacuum cleaners to the international marks below, with custom certifications on request — not every model holds every mark, so we match the certificate set to your destination market.
For every order we supply the matching certificates and test reports your customs broker and retail channel require, so the shipment clears and lands without a paperwork stall.

Frequently asked questions
Are you a robot vacuum manufacturer or a trading company?
We are a manufacturer. Guilin Use at Home Technology Co., Ltd. tools, assembles and tests robot vacuums in-house at our plant in Guilin, Guangxi, alongside the rest of our floorcare and small-appliance production.
What navigation types do you build?
Random navigation at the entry tier, gyroscopic navigation as the mid-range volume seller, and laser navigation with app control, route planning and auto-charging at the premium tier. Most buyers carry two or three tiers rather than one.
What suction levels are available?
From around 1,000Pa at the entry point up to 20,000Pa on laser-navigation models. Higher suction shortens runtime and adds noise, so we normally help buyers pick a level that matches the floor types in their market rather than defaulting to the maximum.
Do your robots mop as well as vacuum?
Yes. The range includes 2-in-1 sweeping and vacuuming builds and 3-in-1 sweep-vacuum-mop models with a water tank and mop plate. Wet-and-dry operation is the mainstream expectation in most markets now and is usually the easier product to sell.
Can you supply models with an auto-empty base?
Yes. Top models dock into an auto dust-collection base with a 4L bag, so the end user empties the machine every few weeks rather than after each clean. It is consistently one of the strongest upgrade drivers in this category.
What is the minimum order quantity and lead time?
From 100 units per model, lower on selected items, with OEM and private-label included. Production runs 15 to 30 days from a confirmed order and deposit, depending on volume and customisation.
Which certifications are available?
CE, RoHS, UL, ETL, FDA, FCC, ISO 9001, BSCI, UKCA, EAC and KC across our range, with more on request. Robot vacuums carry a battery, a radio and a motor, so the certificate set is larger than for a simple appliance and we match it to your destination market.
